Project Updates and a CUTE Model

A lot has happened in a week and I'm excited to give you an update! First off, here's little Miss Lydia. She is the sweet little girl who belongs to my name twin.

She's modelling the classic "Maggie's Hat" combo of soft pink and brown. I love it and I love her cheeks. And she's already giving her mom that "why are you continually taking pictures of me" look. That is too cute.

Last Monday I told you about how I was ready to get some projects done and guess what? I did! Here's the update:

The first one I tackled was the lighting in my dining room. I have had a very cool light over my dining room table for the last five years. I loved it then and still love it--candles on the top, very rustic. What I love even more is a lot of light, so on Saturday I texted my dad to see if he'd make a trip to Ikea for me and then send me Molnig (for some reason it's not sold online). I already have one just like this above my other table and I love it. And I really love the price. Dad sent Carol to Ikea on Sunday...she may have offered to get out of watching football. By Monday it was in the mail to me and Wednesday evening when it arrived, it was up thanks to my handy hubby and I was one happy camper. That is my kind of project!

I painted Emersyn's dresser which used to be white. I haven't distressed it yet, but I'm really happy with it this way.  Up next in her room is the powder table she has.

And finally...I picked a paint color for a wall of beadboard that we are putting up in the laundry room. I have the sample hanging on the wall and I'm happy every time I see it! I can't wait to go buy the paint!

And for the record, I pretty much feel like a genius for getting that sample to link. No simple feat. Happy Monday everyone!
