Cabled Ornaments

Thanks to all of you who left encouraging comments and sent emails in response to my last post. You guys rock!

I needed some unique gifts for an exchange this week. I happened upon a pattern from Knitting Daily and knew I had found what I was looking for. Cabled ornaments! I needed four gifts, so went with four different colors.

It's hard to tell because of my *superior* photography skills, but this is a silvery blue. I love it.

I haven't worked with this yarn in awhile and forgot how much I liked it. It's got less stitch definition, but it's got a really good look to it.

And perhaps my favorite way to display them...in a wooden bowl. Looks like I need to add these to my list of things I'm making for myself.

Here's the link to the pattern for Cabled Ornaments if you are interested in making them yourself. It was a fun pattern to work on, just interesting enough so you don't get bored!

  2. Love these!! I would love these on my tree. I would love to learn, watching a video to learn is great, but I'm afraid I would need the teacher in person. ha!! These would make such nice gifts.
